Aganga charges ITF to create more jobs

Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr Olusegun Aganga has charged Industrial Training Fund (ITF) to step up job creation strategy and facilitate more jobs for Nigerians

Addressing management of the fund at the fund headquarters in Jos yesterday, Aganga said the fund needs to create higher number of jobs every passing year because it is useless to train people on skills only for the trained person to be jobless afterwards.
Aganga who was in Jos to commission newly built ITF Headquarters Annex and ICT Training Centre, told the ITF management staff receiving him: “We are a country of 167 million people.
“We need to turn the enormous quantity of human resources to productive advantage.
“Each of you is critical to the transformation of our quantity advantage to productive advantage.
“There’re constraints and that is why you need to be creative.
“A country that is this big cannot be proud to produce 10,000 skilled people per annum.
